WyrdTree teamed up once again with C.F. Møller Architects in order to communicate the visual design of their proposal for re-imagining the Garden City in Letchworth.
C.F. Møller Architects have been shortlisted together with three other firms in the international competition organised by the RIBA for the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation. The second phase of the competition asks the four shortlisted firms to further develop and refine their proposals together with the Garden City Heritage Foundation, culminating at the end of May 2019.
Letchworth Garden City is the original Garden City, based on the principles developed by Ebenezer Howard and given form by the architects Berry Parker & Raymond Unwin.
In the spirit of the original Garden City, the proposal by C.F. Møller hopes to plant the seed for the social interaction that creates a healthy and socially sustainable community, where people care for one another and for the landscape.
